Job Overview
This is a varied and customer-focused role where you’ll help bring each department to life. From assisting customers with all purchases to maintaining inspiring displays and supporting seasonal changes, you’ll play a key part in creating a welcoming and engaging shopping experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll take responsibility for a wide range of duties within the above departments, including:
- Providing excellent customer service and offering advice on seasonal categories
- Maintaining clean, tidy, and visually appealing displays at all times
- Replenishing stock and ensuring accurate pricing and signage
- Helping manage the movement of stock from the warehouse to the shop floor
- Processing goods-in deliveries efficiently and ensuring stock is checked and organised correctly
- Assisting with shop floor layout changes when required
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to maintain high standards across the centre
- The role will include till cover as and when required
What We’re Looking For
- A friendly, approachable manner with a strong focus on customer service
- A hands-on attitude and willingness to get involved in all aspects of the role
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- A proactive approach to maintaining standards and improving displays
- Previous retail experience is an advantage but not essential

Location: Summerseat Garden Centre
Hours: 42.5 hours per week – alternate weekends
